Director
Co-director and co-founder, Belvin comes from a background in creative writing brings storytelling and vision-making to climate work. He serves as co-editor-in-chief for Surge: The Lowcountry Climate Magazine.
Dr. Jen Cole Wright
Co - Founder & Director of Finance
Jennifer Cole Wright is a Professor of Psychology at the College of Charleston, as well as an Affiliate Member the Philosophy Department, Women’s and Gender Studies Department, and the Environmental and Sustainability Studies Program. Her area of research is moral psychology. Specifically, she studies virtue, moral conviction, and tolerance – and the role they play in our continue effort to fight for justice and care for other living beings. She helped found and co-direct the Charleston Climate Coalition, a non-profit organization working towards climate equity and liberation in the Lowcountry.
Program Manager
Charlton Brownell
Charlton manages the Lowcountry Climate Solutions Lab and assists with various CCC initiatives. He holds an M.S. in Environmental Studies and Public Administration from the College of Charleston, and a B.S. in Biological Sciences from Clemson University. His previous experience includes positions with Developmental Associates, LLC., the City of Charleston, and the Riley Center for Livable Communities. In his free time you might find him running, hiking, driving his green 1977 VW bus, or on the side of the road trying to start his VW bus.
Anna Long
Organizing Director
Anna works with CCC to build local power and strategies for the campaign against the proposed Dominion Energy gas plant. They also work as the Program Director for Be The Ones, and as the Communications & Data Administrator for the SC Unitarian Universalist Justice Association. Prior to joining CCC, Anna worked as the Lead Organizer for the Charleston Area Justice Ministry (CAJM). They hold an MA in Peacebuilding and Conflict Transformation from the School for International Training, and a BA in History and French Language from Seattle University. In their spare time you can find them searching for treasures on the beach or making weird crafts.
